DAY 1, 30th of August
Two routes to choose from according to the group's wishes: a 3.5 - 4 hour ride around the turquoise lakes of El Chorro or a longer option:
6 hour ride around the Sierra De Las Nieves.
In both options there are long flat sections before the big climbs.
DAY 2, 31st of August
Amazing 5-6h ride to see the Vuelta riders passing the town of Ubrique. We start the day with a 13,5km long famous climb "Puerto Palomas". The day's route is tough due to the long climbs, but the amazing scenery will give you the power to keep the pedals moving.
DAY 3, 1st of September
The Vuelta stage 9 will start from Antequera.
We see the stage start and head off the same direction - towards Cordoba - after the Vuelta riders. During the day you have a chance to conquer two old sanctuary mountains. The ride takes 5-6 hours. We warm-up with a flat section before hitting the big rollers and sharp climbs.
DAY 4, 2nd of September
We pack our bikes into the support car and drive
to Granada from where we start the day with a 30+ km climb towards Pico de Veleta on Europe's highest mountain road. You have a chance to ride up to over 3000 meters. The highlight of the day (besides conquering one of Spain's highest mountains) is the Vuelta stage 10 finish at the Sierra Nevada mountains.
DAY 5, 3rd of September
We save the hardest ride for the last day.
"The Spartan" is a 135km long ride over the mountains of El Torcal down to Malaga and then back to Antequera, all on mountain roads. During the day you will be climbing over 3500 meters. The ride takes 6 hours and you will be doing some famous climbs used in Vuelta and Vuelta de Andalucia.
DAY 6, 4th of September
Most likely you will be feeling something similar to the rider in the photo above..
It's time to pack the bikes and bags and head home. Sport's massage can be arranged before your flight and a nice relaxing time by the hotel outdoor pool or hydrotheraphy pool are also recommended activities for the day before heading home.
